About us

Popley is a housing estate to the North of Basingstoke.  It has four junior schools, one senior school and a church.  Popley is divided into six areas with the roads in each area being named after a particular theme.

Popley has been built over three decades starting in the late 1960's when many families moved to Basingstoke from London. The last houses built in Popley were in the late 1990's so the estate has been constantly changing over this time.

Guiding has been active in Popley since the estate was built and many of the current leaders went to Brownies and Guides in Popley before they became leaders themselves.
