 Amazing cloud formations over the area:
the evening of 1. 9. 99.
 
 
These clouds were a truly awe-inspiring experience.
According to the Forres Gazette the explanation for this phenomena was:
"A spokesman at the meteorological office at RAF Kinloss said the cloud shapes were unusual but the conditions
were right to create the alto cumulus lenticularus formations at around 10,000 feet.
He explained that strong south-westerly winds at that height, temperatures and the presence of the Cairngorms downwind combined to create the aerial spectacle."
