A small town on the Moray Firth, 16 miles east
of Inverness, blessed with a favourable climate, long sandy beaches and
sweeping views over to the Black Isle, Ben Wyvis and other parts of the
Highlands. Some days you can see up to fifty miles and beyond. There are
beaches, woods, wildlife, river walks and the beautiful Nairnshire hinterland
to discover. The town does have a few problems but when people run the
place down I just tell them that:' Nairn is Disneyland compared to many
towns and cities in the U.K.' Nairn is life on a human scale in a
town of approximately 8,000 people.
Se baile beag tha ann. ach baile brèagha,
Chan eil moran astar ann bho dorus sam bith airson a bith am measg
nàdur. S'toll gu dearbh an doigh beatha an seo -
