Poems:         Christmas Day: wind, colour and sky

Christmas Day: wind, colour and sky

Shifting sands of the thoughts
Uncovering places forgotten
Imagining ones new

Sunshine at the turn of a millennium
Animals running through the incoming waves
Smiles to the horizons

Just a short walk from
All this pleasure
In a town that relies on leisure

The world still hangs by a thread,
Combustion engines demand more green
But here you can forget it
Leave it unseen

Cover the dark thoughts
Like the snow does Ben Wyvis
Be greedy
Ignore the problems of Mother Earth

Here the planet suffers so little
Here, where flowers come so soon
Escape visions of doom

Be a child again
Float with the birds
Shine like the jewelled eyes of seals
Leap like a dolphin

Enjoy every grain of sand
Leave those questions on the wind
