Also, welcome aboard to all the new players that joined after coming to our indoor nets over the winter months. Well done to Nets Supremo Tony Tedore for booking and organising them.

5th April 2004 - Welcome Beau!

4th October 2003 - AGM Details
The annual general meeting of London Fields Cricket Club was held on Saturday 27th September. Meet the new captain (same as the old captain) Simon 'Shanga' Lang, the new vice captain Dave Hickey, and the new third selector Darren 'Hilly' Hill. Tony takes over as Nets Organiser. More details when I can remember them - it was a long day...

27th August 2003 - New photo!
Jason Trisley has taken a lovely picture of London Fields In The Early Evening (careful, it's 800K)

19th August 2003 - We finish 2nd!
Confirmation that we finished 2nd in the league this year, four points behind The Lamb. If things had gone differently in our league game in July, we could have been champions.
Also, match report now online from the game against The Boundary on 9th August.

18th August 2003 - We're Climbing Up Sunshine Mountain!
Two wins at the weekend. A fine win chasing 225 against the touring Belgian side Mechelen, and a league win on the Sunday against 'Leytonstoned'. 387 runs scored for the loss of only 7 wickets, and all on London Fields' notorious track. More details soon...

8th August 2003 - After a long break, we're back in business. Currently we're in the top four of the league, with still a mathematical chance to win, but it's looking bleak.
On a brighter note, captain Simon 'Shanga' Lang has provided a bundle of match reports for the games against The Occasional Casuals, The Lamb, The Shakespeare, The Caledonian Conquerors, The Crescent and Star, The Captain’s Select XI and Woodford Church. Cheers, Shanga!

16th July 2003 - Lost against The Lamb in the league last Saturday and against the Occasional Casuals on Sunday. On a brighter note, pics are now online from the Gloucester Tour-ette.

6th July 2003 - Fine win against the Coach & Horses yesterday keeps us joint first in the league.

4th July 2003 - Lost in the 20 over knockout cup against The Lamb on Saturday. Put in first, we only scored 85, which was never enough. Though we did take 8 wickets from them before they beat our total. Match report on line now.

This Saturday's game starts at 12 so that a large number of the team (16) can go to Gloucester for a wild weekend of drinking, partying (in both Gloucester nightclubs) and, oh yes, a six-a-side cricket tournament. Promises to provide some juicy pictures and anecdotes, which will be online as soon as they've sobered up (around a week or so).

23rd June 2003 - 'Leytonstoned' cancelled our league game on Saturday, and this and a double booking on London Fields on Sunday meant a cricketless weekend for the club. On a brighter note, the cancellation, and The Lamb beating Crescent & Star, means there's a three-way tie at the top of the league, with us, The Lamb and the Crescent & Star on equal points.

15th June 2003 - Fine win yesterday against the Callie Casuals. We batted first and scored 225 from our 35 overs, JJ, Shanga and Mr Extras all getting 50s. Then we kept them down to 197 from their 35, Darren M taking 5 wickets. More details when I get the score book.

12th June 2003 - some new pics...

10th June 2003 - A loss to Woodford Church on Saturday puts us in a mediocre 'Tottenham-type' place in the league. You know, halfway down and staying there all season. More details when I get the score book.

3rd June 2003 - "Lamb Roasted" on London Fields last weekend (match report soon). This weekend we lose to both the Crescent & Star (league) and The Graces (friendly). Ho hum. At least there's The Bet to keep us amused...

20th May 2003 - Abject defeat against the Archway Graces in the wind and rain on Sunday 18th May. Report on line now.
On a brighter note, the scorecard is now on line from the match against the Coach & Horses.

12th May 2003 - A win in the league against last season's champions Boundary CC on Saturday at windy Low Hall Farm, followed by a defeat at rainy Millfields on Sunday against The Captain's Select XI. Match reports from our team of trained chimps will be on-line soon.

8th May 2003 - Hope you like the new style site. I'm still monkeying files around, so some content is temporarily unavailable, and some links may be broken, but bear with me!

6th May 2003

30th April 2003
- Season kicks off with a whimper on London Fields as the Fielders fail to roast The Lamb on Saturday. Match report (first ever!) from vice skip Darren McInerney.
