"This time last year we were gearing up for our world tour, which began in Dublin in February. We performed 103 gigs to over one and a quarter million people. This year has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. It was sad when Geri left. But on the plus side, singing with Bruce Willis at the opening of Planet Hollywood in Montreal was one of the best nights of my life. I was very excited when Bryan Adams asked me to work with him. And dining with Madonna in New York was also a highlight. as she's been my role model for years. The most embarrassing thing happened to me during our first gig in America. My trousers split from the crotch, right up the back,during the first song. Even worse, I was wearing a G-string so you could see all my bum! But I was very professional and stayed on stage - every time e turned around I tried to cover it with my arm!" MEL C |
