FURUNO NAVNET3D

Local demonstration available. Please phone Steve on 07797 716 853.

Building on the accuracy and reliability of Navnet Vx2, Navnet 3D's "Time Zero" seamless and instant pan, zoom and tilt technology, together with Furuno's rendering of Maxsea MM3D cartography (for the UK and Channel Islands based on cartography derived direct from UK Hydrographic Office data), and "Satellite PhotoFusion" integration of satellite photography for shallows (less than 7 metres below datum) and land areas, makes coastal, inshore, and shallow-water navigation in 3D genuinely easier than in 2D (although conventional overhead "flat" 2D view is also built-in). Tidal stream data is also available for on-screen graphical arrow display.

Furuno hardware reliability makes this a powerful combination:

Fixed Displays for flush or bracket mounting are available in 8.4" and 12.1", and there is a Black Box system version with panel mount waterproof keyboard/trackpad, which uses separated display(s), whether Furuno waterproof displays or standard PC displays.

All systems are AIS target-display ready, and have been purpose designed for NMEA 2000 compliance, although retaining NMEA0183 input and output capability for existing equipment.

Ultra High Definition network Radar - 19" and 24" radomes, and 3.5', 4' and 6' open array radar scanners, which can be incorporated (or retro-added) are all ARPA-equipped as standard (heading sensor required for ARPA, 30 targets maximum).

Other options include network echo sounder, IP cameras, Navtex/HF radioweatherfax receiver, AIS receiver or AIS transponder,

and now, Echopilot FLS Engine forward looking sounder display capability.

OLDER C-MAP CARTOGRAPHY

The C-Map CF85 cartridges which introduced electronic charting in the mid eighties were finally discontinued in 2006.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We continue to encompass, with responsibility, the entire marine electrical and electronic sector, from battery charging and systems monitoring, approved navigation lights and their proper layout for the vessel class concerned, DC and AC power distribution, electromechanical equipment supply and overhaul (including alternators and advanced regulation, starter motors, anchor windlass, electric sheet and halyard winches, autopilot drives and bow/stern thrusters, through to navigation, communication and weather-related electronics, for inshore, offshore and trans-ocean vessels.

Our engineers Steve and Phil combine their experience of over 50 years in marine electrical and electronics installation, fault diagnosis, servicing and repair. Together with regular manufacturer update courses, and continuous evaluation of equipment performance and reliability during normal local work and seatrials, as well as that gained during many tens of thousands of miles of bluewater and ocean crossing deliveries under sail and power, this has allowed them to acquire a locally-unique insight of hardware reliability of the various brands, and the installation and commissioning requirements for fully-effective and continuous operation at sea.

We concentrate on supply and installation with proper commissioning, and hence full-term warranty validation, with rapid on-board warranty and post-warranty support, if or when called for.

Our experience means that you just have to tell us what you want (you don't have to explain to us what it does, and how to do it).

A well-practiced and qualified understanding of traditional navigation allows us to properly understand the functions of  instruments, navigation, radar, sonar and communications equipment (Radio - VHF and MF/HF SSB, DSC, AIS and ATIS, Navtex, HF Radio Weatherfax, effective AM and FM broadcast reception, Triband GSM - voice and data) (Satcomms voice and data - Inmarsat and Iridium), therefore we are able to recognise faults or deficiencies, and provide accurate fault-finding, repair, recalibration and testing.

       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All our installations conform to European directives and ISO standards for vessels up to 24 metres:

Small Craft Electrical systems - Extra-low voltage DC installations: ISO 10133.

Small Craft Electrical systems - Alternating current installations: ISO 13297.
