News

Well, much to my disappointment I was unable to attend 'Copenhagen' in Montreal last month. However, Emilia has provided a sterling report on the play -- and the enviable time she and several others spent chatting with Bill afterwards. Her report, A trip to "Copenhagen", with accompanying photos, is permanently lodged under the Articles section.

Emilia, by the way, traveled all the way from Italy to see Bill in this play. I'm sure that's deserving of a fan Medal of Honor of some sort!!

Dear Mr Davis,
Greetings from here in Wales - we may be isolated but luckily I still manage to receive a German channel on my satellite which airs The X-Files every Monday! :) What with myself being a dedicated fan and my younger sister obsessed with watching "Look Who's Talking" at least twice a day, you manage to spend a lot of time gracing our screens and I thank you for it.

Was lucky enough the other day to be able to attend an X-Philes meet up where I met a man who'd seen you before. Was wondering whether you find the time to mingle with many of your fans or are there actually still conventions or such that you attend about? :)

Was also very impressed with Season 7's "En Ami" which gave me a whole new view on your character. Any chance we'll catch you writing a little for the next X-files movie?? :)

Where to Send Fan Mail

Mr. Davis really enjoys hearing from his fans, but before you write, read these suggestions from both Bill and me for making it a positive and successful experience:

• Patience is a Virtue -- Bill does his best to respond to his mail in a timely fashion, but he has no staff to help him and is often quite busy with his career - and away from home! A few months delay is not unusual. He does get around to all of it eventually.
• Bill is one man with lots of fans vying for his attention -- so try not to write expecting a reply. That will make it all the nicer if you get one.
• Have you tried the Q&A? -- If you have a few questions that Bill can cover in our monthly online round-up or a comment that doesn't require a reply, please consider using the Q&A feature.
• It's a little-known fact -- Most actors, including Bill, have to cover the cost of photos and postage themselves. Imagine if you had to pay for every e-mail you replied to! So if you must have that response or autograph, make a considerate gesture by including one of the following:
  1. a self-addressed stamped envelope (if you live in Canada); or
  2. international reply coupons (if you're outside of Canada)

  International reply coupons can be purchased at post offices anywhere in the world. Estimate the return postage for an autograph by using a letter-sized piece of thin cardboard inside an envelope.
