As well as planning and organising the action those who occupied the yards continued to work. There are various workers in this panel who are going about their jobs.

The action was supported by 50, 000 people who met at Glasgow Green on June 24th 1971 (100, 000 stopped work for the day) and again on August 18th when 80, 000 people met at the Green.

The closure of the yards was abandoned. Look again at the full panel. Can you tell from the painting that the action was successful?
