Repeating Images
Look closely at the
"Cultural Capital" poster and you will find that several lino-cuts have
been repeated. To build his city Willie Rodger created blocks like this
one and repeatedly printed on different papers and at different angles to
create the range of buildings and the illusion of the hills.
The trees have been created by repeating a print of just four and even the Red Road flats are the same lino-cut on different papers.
