Willie Rodger Free Kick

"Bedsit, Wednesday" is part of a work in which the room is shown on every day of the week. The only variation in bedsit life is the image on the television. On Wednesday it shows football, the footballers preparing to intercept a free kick. That the macho sportsmen have become, in Willie's eyes, "fearties" is illustrated in the lines he places around them to show how they shake. On Saturday the television screen shows only a "snowy" image of "nothing on the box", on Sunday it shows a minister sermonising but it was the Wednesday sportsmen who created particular interest.
