From AXEL (Twisted Tekken):
After reading that Rage isn't a real character I just got so fed up with the rumors I called Namco, I spoke to a producer Mr. Namagashi, and from what he said there is another relative of the Mishimas in the game and he said that Rage is a possibility, but he wouldn't say for sure. He also confirmed 30+ characters in the game but would only say that some characters that were believed dead could make an appearence?! So as for the whole Rage thing I think he's still in, too many people have reported seeing him and from what Mr. Namagahi said and how he sounded he somewhat implied that Rage was in the game without actually saying he was.

From Twisted Tekken:
Hello. I'm just back from E3 with a little bit of news. I end up talking to one of the people who worked on the actual game as a producer, and he told me that he couldn't confirm or deny anything at all, including the number of characters. The only thing he DID tell me is that Rage does not exist. That sucks. He also expressed regret that Namco made them release the game "early" he said that there were a lot of things (characters/moves) that couldn't be added due to the time constraits, i.e. Namco wanted their product NOW. Another Namco employee (I think the majority of them were alladins castle workers... :) ) told me that he had heard that there are 27 characters and Jun, Lee, Wang included. However DON'T HOLD MUCH STOCK IN THE LAST PART. The only thing that I can confide in is what the producer of the game told me. At E3 there was no playstation Tekken 3 beta. However, the producer guy I talked to (His name and business card have escaped me right now) but they expect it to be U.S. released by this christmas, or very early 98'. This is TENTATIVE. Coming from a producer at NAMCO.

From GraveDigga's Tekken 3 Page:
This is a piece of an Interview that Next-Gen did with US marketing Chief Mike Fischer:
Fischer- Tekken III we have as arcade machine out on the booth simply to remind people that we working on the project but we haven't announced anything except that it is coming out on PlayStation.

Next Gen - We're hearing that it may arrive before Christmas in the US and Japan simultaneously?

Fischer- I go to bed every night and pray that will happen, but I can't say for sure.

Next Gen- Can you get rid of this notion once and for all that the game will come with an upgrade?

Fischer- No. The reason why, is I don't know yet. The R&D team basically has started the PlayStation version the day they finished the arcade game. As you know it's done to a different arcade model board. A lot of people didn't think we could do Tekken 2 better than the original Tekken, but we managed to accomplish everything. There are a lot of other options available. I have no idea what they are doing but I noticed that Last Bronx is a two disk fighting game. I don't know if that would apply to the technical challenges we have to deal with but I do know that the team is looking at every possible option.

(23th June 97)
T. Slick (Tom_Slick@forpresident.com):
There was no T3 for the Playstation at the E3 Expo and Namco sources do not dismiss the fact that there could be a need for an upgrade chip. (Next-generation.com)

From Eugene (eclipse@pacific.net.sg):
Here in Singapore, Brian is playable. There is another way to fight Brian Fury other than the one listed by Beamer. When Brian's picture if filled in you just have to win the last round of a match with a perfect and the next round you'll fight Bryan. Also when Brian's picture is up, press start on Nina and you get Anna! Anna is disappointing as she is basically Nina, and doesn't have any of her own moves. Anna only has one winning pose.

(18th June 97)
Courtesy of Beamer:
To play against Brian Fury, his shadow pic must first be filled in. Get 2 perfects in a match. You can have one perfect, screw up the second round but you must get a perfect again and the next player is Brian.

From Grave Digga of GraveDigga's Tekken 3 Page:
We are just 2 days away from what could be big for us Tekken fans. June 19th in Atlanta E3's doors open and all the major mags are saying Tekken 3 PSX will be there. Who knows I guess we'll find out. To say the least i think we will find out when it will hit stores.

From T.C. (Twisted Tekken):
The following is the info from his brother stationed in Korea which TC sent to Twisted Tekken.

Rally is selectable, he took one of the Ogre's spaces on the selection screen and now you can choose your Ogre with kicks or punches. Rally's an African American guy.

Paul's 3rd outfit is said to be Willy Williams not confirmed

A new shadow came out and it was said to be Baek's. not confirmed

Confirmed characters are Kuma Julia, G. Jack, Mokujin, Fury, Anna, Tiger, Heihachi, Ogres, Rally, Kazuya, Lee, Rage, Kuni, A. King, Ganryu and Jun.

Kuma's 3rd outfit is the white polar bear with earrings and a leather jacket? not confirmed

New Rage moves : One is a double palm move which can take almost half of your opponents life. Another is his tackle, he has a standard tackle move and at the end of his punches, he head butt's you! He has also seen his back throw, he picks you up and puts you in the torture rack! (For those of you who don't know it's a wrestling move where he puts on his shoulders sideways and pulls down on your neck and legs snapping your neck and back!

Rage maybe a little bit bigger than Heihachi with black hair and a goatee. One outfit is a white gui similar to Pauls and the other is black pant's like Kazuya's white ones and red gloves!

Lee Chaolan's shadow did not appear, he is already playable!

(14th June 97)
From Choi,sung-hwan (popart@unitel.co.kr):
My name is Choi,sung-hwan. Korean. Here is seoul. In Tekken 3 I can select all of 18 fighters. Anna is with start button in Nina. And Jin, Ling are wearing their school uniforms (select with start button). I can also select Heihachi, Bryan Fury, Toshin 1,2, Mokujin (he and she? can do most of Tekken 3 fighters' moves), Gun Jack, Julia, Kuma and Panda.

Heihachi can do (f,N,d/f+lp) and (f,N,d/f+rp) during (f,N,d/f+rk...). And (b+rp) is very powerful. (rp+lp) is like Jin's (b+lp+rp) but and Heihachi's (rk+rapidly+lk) give damage to opponent player. He also has reversal (b+1+3 or b+2+4) and has something like a leg grap.

Bryan Fury is like Bruce in Tekken 2. (f,f+lk),(f,f+rp) is very powerful. And he can move like Paul's (b,d,d/b,b). Toshin 2 can do fire flame (d+rp+lp) or (rp+lp).

(13th June 97)
From T.C. (Twisted Tekken):
The following is the information from his brother stationed in Korea which TC sent to Twisted Tekken.

King now has a 3rd outfit and he's wearing King I's shirt and suspenders and... he's not wearing a mask! The next shadow in Korea looks to be Lee Chaolan! Mokujin has a third outfit that's coming soon and instead of wood, he will be a metal dummy. Jun has most her moves intact plus Jin's sidestep dash uppercut. Rage has Heihachi's deathfist and hammer punch, Kazuya's 4 sweep kicks and a whole bunch of his own moves. His throws so far sound bad as hell, one of them he picks you up with one hand around your throat, laughs and then punches you to the ground! Remember Kazuya's one throw where he kicks you twice horizontally? Well Rage does the same one only vertically, he kicks you up and on your way down he kicks you to the ground! Plus, he also has one side throw which is a vicious choke slam!

From T.C.(Twisted Tekken):
JUN IS WITH US !!! It's me again guys with some more AWESOME NEWS! I just got off the phone with my brother because I wanted to confirm everything he sent in that letter he stated that it was all true and get this, JUN is fightable, not playable but he fought against her today. Also, 3 new fighters have a 3rd outfit! The one I'm most excited about was Paul! He told me that he has a new hairdo and he's wearing a navy blue suit! I am so looking forward to seeing this because Paul is my ultimate favorite Tekken character! Lei also has a cool new uniform, a cop uniform, my bro said that it's a black trooper type uniform (sounds pretty cool!) The last addition is Yoshimitsu, my brother said that he has his hat from T2 but it is white and he has a blue and silver armor, the funny thing is my brother tried to tell me he had on some Hawaiian shirt and shorts, but he said he was only kidding! In case you were wondering what Jun looked like she has longer hair looks somewhat older and has a red outfit and a white outfit.

From LOUIS:
Heihachi info!!! Some of his moves seems to reverse middle kicks by the way. I believe it happens when it's a double hit. I've seen his wind godfist and his unblockable do this. If a reversal happens there's thunder all around and they both get damage. Heihachi is hit with a mega counter and the other player is his with a reversal damage. It's very cool.

(7th June 97)
From Twisted Tekken:
These are the words of Namco. They were not sent by the company, but by a contact who has contacts inside. He/she will remain anomynous, at his/her request:

18 slots are taken, there are the 'pre-korea' rumor characters. Bryan is COOL. So powerful and very fast. His costumes are a swat uniform or shirtless with brown fatigues (sp?) 2 slots for orge and some moves different between them Press start with Eddy and you get Tiger, a very funny 70s/bootsy collins kinda guy. Huge afro, orange velvet shirt and bellbottoms. Press start with Nina get Anna, no new moves, same red dress. No "who is it" shadows for Kazuya yet, nor does he pop up at stage 9 if you play Hei, Jin does. Mokujin's alt costume is a female training dummy with skirt-shaped blocks, breasts and a flower on top.

From T.C. (Twisted Tekken):
"The rumored character Rage is no longer a rumor my Tekken friends. My brother is stationed in Korea and he and I have this crazy obsession with Tekken, so anyways I receive a letter in the mail today about how the local arcade he has access to has a complete 2nd bar of characters and 4 on a THIRD ROW. I love Tekken and I promise I am not lying about this info. He said that Kazuya was playable and so was Heihachi and both versions of Ogre. He saw somebody playing with some guy named Tiger, but he didn't see that guy on the screen to choose from so maybe there is a code on how to access him! The best thing of all was Heihachi's newest relative, Rage, my brother said that this guy was so AWESOME! He had a few of Heihachi's moves, some of Kazuya'a and a whole hell of a lot of his own! I for one cannot wait for the States to get this guy! Another thing is that the shadow for the next subboss is suppossedly JUNS! Namco has really overdone themselves this time! Oh just in case you're wondering, Ganryu, Kuni, and Armor King were the other 3 guys on the bottom row! I will update this info as I get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

From GraveDigga of GraveDigga's Tekken 3 Page:
I got this e-mail from a friend (Scott Brewer) who thought I should check this out.

"It's been said many times that the Koreans have a chip that releases 8 chars plus Anna. My local arcade finally got this chip and I tried it out. Maybe I'll scan a pic and send it since most of you do not seem to believe it... The chars as stated already are Brian, Kuma, Heihachi, Ogre 1, Ogre 2, Julia, Gun Jack and Mokujin. I will for now state many info for the new chars that nobody has ever said anything about... so that when the chars are really released you'll know that I was telling the truth.

Brian does not equal Bruce... he has some of Bruce's moves but not his 4 part multi-throw... (maybe he has it but I couldn't figure out how to do it) He however does have a 2 parter where he gut punches you, then throws you over his head and on to the ground (it floats). He has 3,2,1,4 combo as well as 2 kicks. Spinning elbow is also available (F+1+2). He does not have the cheap 1,2,d+4,3 combo however. He also does not have Bruce's three knee kicks... just one. Enuff about Bruce I'll talk about Heihachi now.

A lot of you have fought Heihachi and has seen a lot of his moves. The Chi move that he does a lot is 1+2. It can be comboed using 1,2,1+2. I have done a really awesome float combo by accident but I can't seem to figure out how I did it exactly. First I floated using f,d,d/f+2. Then I punched using 1. Then 1,2,(joystick movement),(1+2). He punches twice. Turns around and stuns the falling opponent and does a rising uppercut. It seems to be a canned combo of his B+1 gut stun punch and f,d,d/f+1 uppercut. If anyone in Korea or anyone that has Heihachi playable know how to do this plz tell me.

I didn't bother trying Ogre 1 but Ogre 2 was pretty cool. He has a ground fire and air fire. Very hard to dodge these... especially the air one. But as b4 if you're quick enough you can run under him and then back throw him :) His side throw is Kuma's... grab, 3 slams and toss... awesome!

I didn't try Anna enough to be sure but it seems that Anna was exactly the same was Nina... in fact I'd say she's Nina's third costume but unlike others she gets a new name. She did everything that Nina did including divine cannon combo. I didn't try bloody scissors but I'm pretty sure it's not included... maybe real Anna will be time released as next character or something.
I wonder who the next two characters are... and I've heard rumors since the beginning that there will be 23 or 24 chars total... now that all the characters that we can think of has been time released I wonder who these other characters might be if the rumor holds.

When the 'Who Is It' is replaced with the picture of Mokujin, fight until the fifth stage and lose, continue and win. On the sixth stage you will fight Mokujin!! Not sure if you can do it any other way but i did it this way. Also Mokujin's second outfit is that of a female wooden puppet! Instead of a leaf on her head there's a flower, and her body is shaped like a dress. I lost to Mokujin a couple of times just to fight him for the fun of it. If Mokujin uses Yoshimitsu's powers he will have his own wooden sword!!

A forwarded mail from Dinoza:
Another good week for news this week with Mokujin's pictures and story, Gun Jack's story and the Korean's having a game machine that can play all the sub-bosses. Just this morning, I got a letter from Jung jin-pil from Korea and here is what he sent me:
Pusan in South Korea appeared all sub-boss. (Probably...) From Left, Brian Fury,Kuma,Heihachi,Ogre1,Ogre2,Julia Chang,Gun-Jack,Mokujin. To Select Anna,Select Nina with press start button. Appeared Sub-boss is 9. (at Pusan in South Korea) If you cannot bear to stay until you can play with all sub-boss, visit Pusan in South Korea. Then, find 'star games center'. This is Fact.! Not Rumor.!"

From Stormbringer from Japan (forwarded by Dinoza):
"Namco revealed Gun Jack's back story! Gun jack is very much Jack-2 in Tekken2! He was destroyed by a laser-beam from a satelite, and the girl in Tekken2-ending grew up, became scholler, repaired Jack-2... But Jack's tender mind never came back. When she was about to repair his memory, and came to the memory about Ironfist tournament, CPU was suddenly shut down. She didn't give up and get the information that Jack's body had mostly been made by "Mishima Heavy Industry", and there was an unused weapon's program called Project Gun Jack, the bias for Pipott gun. She completed repairing and making Jack's broken body, then decided to visit Mishima... For knowing Jack's secret and getting the task of recovering Jack's mind...

Here are some pics for the new character Mokujin from the Tadarich Lab (Note: Bokujin is incorrect)

[Mokujin pic 1] [Mokujin pic 2] [Mokujin pic 3]

From Hellion (FJJ_082@msn.com):
Mokujin's profile:

Mokujin was a 2000 year old wooden fighting dummy animated by the Toshin awakening 4 years ago. I have reason to believe Toshin is controlling it like he does Nina (Maybe Anna?). This was told to me by David T. Cole (davecole@jamisongold.com), an art director.
