Thomas Hughes Milner (1825-1866) was baptised by the Scotch Baptists in 1842 but joined first a "Morrisonian" congegation and subsequently a Baptist church. In his time with the latter church he preached in various places and edited "The Evangelist." In 1855 Milner formed his own congregation in Nicholson Street, Edinburgh which subsequently joined with the Churches of Christ. He became an evangelist, published "The Christian Advocate" and a number of books including "The Messiah's Ministry."
