Supporters Membership:
This is an area where the supporters club committee have not been keeping on top of recently. No real excuses for the lack of an AGM last season, other than the move to Imperial Fields meant a lot of upheaval for all concerned and thus the AGM did not come about.
Another factor was the large reduction in the committee. This was due to diminishing role the committee plays on match days. The lack of a venue at the time of the AGM did not help. but nevertheless the committee accept the blame for not organising the AGM later on last year.
Therefore the date of the Supporters AGM has been set for the 3rd October 2003, at 20.00 hours in the bar at Imperial Fields.
Due to having no AGM last season, we are inviting all those supporters club members from the last two seasons to the AGM in October. The reason for this date and the change of timing is due to it being felt that having the AGM during the football season will help to communicate news easier and better. We will have of course have to change the ruling on the date of the AGM and that will be done at the AGM itself.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the retiring officers who have given up their own time during the last 40ish years to provide a service for the supporters, not only on match days but throughout the year. Without their help, dedication and support, the supporters club would not have been able to function as well as it did at Sandy Lane. Thanks again.
