SUPERMATCH

The four clubs of the UK meet every 3 years and hold a "Supermatch".  This year was the turn of the Southern RR Association and was held in Coventry on Saturday 5th April 2008.

Each Club entered a team of 16 dogs - 2 x Puppy, 2 x Special Yearling, 8 x Open, 2 x Champion and 2 x Veteran.

Our Judge was Mrs Veronica Thoren on the Rex Ventors Kennel in Sweden.

PUPPY

This was Anny's first "major" outing and she performed in style, although she was very happy to be there she was hard work to keep her focused on what she was there to do.  As the judge put it ... "she floated round the ring" and we were lucky enough to win.  In the Puppy Challenge, we were delighted to win BEST PUPPY IN MATCH and have a beautiful trophy to remember this special day.

SPECIAL YEARLING

Milo's son Sani (Mwenga Hasani for Jengachenga) was next into the ring and again won his class and took BEST SPECIAL YEARLING.

OPEN

This was a tough challenge, but one which Anny's half-brother Teddy, rose to the challenge of.  Veronica commented that Teddy was "a dream" and it was a dream come true for Teddy to win his class and then take
BEST IN MATCH !!!

Other Scottish Club winners in the Open Classes were Milo's granddaughter, Rumaruti Rather Be Rabbiting (Roo) with Tom, Nyassa Adam with Sue, Zougani sisters, Sherry & Tia with Eileen and Billie respectively.

CHAMPION

Teddy's sire, AUS CH/CH Chilolo CJ Someday Sam (Imp) - Sam, won his champion class with owner Sharon.

Anny's aunt Fudge, CH Sonstraal Christmas Eve was 2nd in her class with Christine.
